We started the 1st of 75 cities on the maniacal melheimian mystery tour (www.faithink.com/training) to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Faith Inkubators and talk parents from Orlando to Anchorage into BEING the church every night in every home.
Mark Jolliet and Alleluia! were the perfect hosts. After an afternoon of training church staff/volunteers from the Chicago area, 200+ parents and kids showed up for the evening "Working on the Dream" session.
We gave the FAITH 5 posters to 80 families who committed to try it for six weeks.
Now I'm at Wheaton with He Qi for his reception at the Billy Graham Center Museum, where 45 of his works are beginning their national tour. My old friend Jim Vargo drove 250 miles just to spend some time. My old, old friend from grade school, Rev. Nancy Gauche is here to. We dined after He Qi's reception with Franklin Ishida, head of the Asian region for the ELCA's Global Mission Department and conspired to bring He Qi's art to a billion people.
Tonight it's on to Tulsa, then Anchorage, Atlanta, Thomasville and Charlotte. I'll try to post some pictures when I get a chance.
Bring him to Malaysia! :-)
