I've
been too busy to eat these last couple weeks, and must apologize for not showing up on my own blog. What have I been doing? Cartooning the Gospels for Bible Song's next 15 set of lessons. Helping He Qi move his show from Westminster Presbyterian to the Museum of Biblical Art on Broadway in NYC and St. John the Divine, where they will be on display all summer long. And the big job, prepping some rather marvelous stuff - 100 free downloads for 100 days of reviews for our launch of the update 2007-08 resources.
We'll be turning the "on" switch on later this week, but in advance I've placed 9 little teaching videos online for the Faith Stepping Stones area of the site. It's the beginning of what we hope to turn into an online youth ministry training center of our site. (So I don't have to be on the road all the time and everywhere at every moment) In these first 9 videos I discuss a strategic approach to pulling parents into the process of their own children's faith journey from cradle-to-graduation. It's a practical flessing out of our goal of turning them into the main faith mentors in a child's life with church as reinforcement - not replacement.
I'd
enjoy your feedback on that when you get the chance.
Well, I'm off to Moorhead to celebrate my dad's 87th birthday, and to speak in Hawley, MN.
See you Monday.
I've been doing some reading up on your Faith Stepping Stones and Bible Song's Lessons. . .very impressive! It's a message that really needs to get out. Our son-in-law was involved in youth ministry but opted to get out because too many parents expected him to do the spiritual training for them. A resource like this would be very beneficial.
