Not all who wander are lost.
It was a bumper sticker that made me ponder while driving on the 405 on Mother's Day.
Not all who wander are lost.
Some wander because they are restless.
Not all who wander are lost.
Some wander because they are confused.
Not all who wander are lost.
I wander for the joy of discovering that which I could never find while sitting alone in my rocking chair.
Not all who wander are lost.
If you know where you've come from, and you know where you are going, you don't have to know where you are. You can wander and wonder and ponder and enjoy the ambiguity and uncertainty of the now without worrying about exactly where you are at the moment.
Not all who wander are lost.
Jesus wandered.
Not all who wander are lost.
"Do one thing every day that scares you," said Eleanor Roosevelt.
Not all who wander are lost.
Wander somewhere you normally wouldn't go today. Maybe there is something lost waiting to be found.
Not all who wander are lost.
Maybe it's you.
Amen.
